Scan Completion Email
After every scan completes, you receive an email summary with issue counts and a link to the full results — no need to log in to check if anything changed.
What you'll see
The email includes:
- The site name and scan date
- A summary of results per QA category (errors, SEO, HTML, accessibility, links, spelling, API)
- Issue counts where applicable
- A View Full Report button linking directly to the scan detail page
If the scan failed to complete (e.g. the site was unreachable), you receive a scan failure email instead, with the reason and a suggestion to check your site URL and connectivity.
How to use it
- Ensure your email address is confirmed in your account settings
- Trigger a scan manually, via a deploy hook, or via the GitHub integration
- Wait for the scan to complete — the email arrives within a minute of completion
- Click View Full Report in the email to open the full results without having to log in first
You can manage alert preferences (which events send emails, and at what frequency) in Sites → your site → Settings → Alerts.
Notify the whole team
Scan completion and scan failure emails are sent to all members of the organization, not just the person who triggered the scan. This ensures the entire team is informed when a scan finishes or when something goes wrong — regardless of who is currently logged in.
If someone on your team is receiving too many notifications, an org admin can adjust the member list or notification settings in Organization Settings. Members who should not receive scan emails can be set to a role with reduced notification access, or removed from the organization if they no longer need access.
Pass condition
✅ You've earned this achievement when you receive a scan completion email after a scan finishes on one of your sites.
Common issues
-
Email not received after scan completes — Check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there, confirm that your email address is verified in your account settings. Also check the Alerts section in Site Settings to ensure scan completion emails are enabled.
-
Scan failure email with "site unreachable" — This means the crawler could not connect to your site. Verify the site URL in Site Settings is correct, that the site is publicly accessible, and that there are no firewall rules blocking external crawlers.
-
Team members not receiving emails — Scan emails go to all organization members. If a specific member is not receiving them, check that their email address is confirmed in their account and that scan notifications have not been disabled at the organization level.
-
Receiving emails for sites you do not manage — All org members receive emails for all sites in the organization. If this is unwanted, ask an org admin to move you to a project-scoped role that limits your access to specific sites only.
