Phase 6 — Feature Flags & Experiments

Phase 6 gives you full control over feature delivery and experimentation. Like Phase 5, this phase requires the QuickMonitoring SDK installed on your site — flags are evaluated client-side and user identity is established via QM.identify().

Feature flags let you ship code to production without exposing it to all users. Pair them with experiments to run statistically sound A/B tests and make data-driven decisions about what to ship permanently.

What's in this phase

This phase contains 11 features, each worth 30 XP (Gold tier):

  1. Create a Feature Flag — Define flags in the dashboard with a key and default state.
  2. Flag Evaluation — Evaluate flags in code with QM.getFlag().
  3. Flag Variants — Multi-variant flags beyond simple on/off.
  4. Percent Rollout — Gradually roll out features to a percentage of users.
  5. Targeting Conditions — Target flags by user properties, plan, country, and more.
  6. Person Profiles — User profiles built from QM.identify() calls.
  7. Opt-In / Opt-Out — Let users self-enroll in or exit beta features.
  8. Flag Activity Log — Audit trail of every flag change.
  9. A/B Experiment — Formal experiments with control, variants, and success metrics.
  10. Experiment Results — Statistical results and winner recommendation.
  11. Flag Config Export — Export flag definitions as JSON.

Prerequisites

  • SDK installed and running (see SDK Installation).
  • At least one site with real or simulated users calling QM.identify() for targeting and experiment assignment to work correctly.

Phase rewards

Complete all 11 features to earn 330 XP and the Phase 6 badge.
